Chad Zimmerman co-founded, STACK, a digital media company that provides the amateur sports market with safe, effective and drug-free advice on how to excel at sports. He served as the companies president for 12 years until the company’s successful exit when it was acquired in 2017 by a strategic partner in the sports space.
As president of STACK, Chad built the Content, Product Development and Marketing divisions. He also managed the Paid, Owned and Earned marketing channels which helped the company become one of the top-10 digital sports properties per comScore.
After the acquisition of STACK, Chad started a digital strategy consultancy helping start-ups and multi-billion-dollar organizations develop and execute on digital strategies to grow audience and drive revenue.
Chad serves on the Board of Directors at Gross Schechter Day School, a Jewish Day School in Cleveland, Ohio. He also serves on the Tech Committee and Digital Task Force for the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.
Since 2015, Chad has served as an expert judge for the Content Marketing Awards put on by the Content Marketing Institute. He’s also a frequent speaker on digital strategy, content and marketing topics and has spoken at industry events such as Content Marketing World and Folio’s Media Next Conference.
Chad earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University where he was also recognized as a Senior Leader and won the Enterprise Award with Special Distinction. Chad was also elected team captain of the varsity football team and earned All-America honors his senior year.
Chad has received numerous professional recognitions including being named a nominee for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Crain’s “Twenty in their 20’s” and Smart Business’s List of Rising Stars.
He lives in Cleveland, Ohio with his wife Angie and daughter Haley.
